Menu of Services
How we can best work together is somewhat determined by where you are in the “process” of separation:
- Pre-separation:
- Are you contemplating divorce? Are you worried about the financial ramifications of divorce? How do you know you’ll be okay? Before you separate, we can dive into your finances and project a hypothetical financial plan based on what you think you will get from a property division, as well as what you anticipate in income. This service falls under my flat fee financial plan pricing.
- Are you ready to move forward? I’ll help familiarize you with the documentation that you might need to provide an attorney. These documents may all be required to complete a financial affidavit or financial declaration for an attorney. If appropriate, the hypothetical deliverables could be a financial affidavit worksheet from Family Law Software or a hypothetical Division of Property PDF, also from Family Law Software. Typically, these services fall under my hourly consultation pricing.
- Already separated? Have you been to, or are you working through, mediation and are still unsure about the property division? Would you appreciate a second set of eyes to know the division is equitable? Deliverables could be Division of Property PDF with different Scenarios, Income Projections, Projected Impact of Support/Maintenance, and Projected Net Worth. These services fall under my hourly consultation pricing.
- Divorced? Now what? You need a plan. Understand what you will need to update or change now that you are divorced. Do you need help planning and/or investing for your financial future? Are you looking for help to understand the process of getting financially in shape now that you are single? Deliverable could be a Financial Plan and/or a portfolio review/proposal.
What are the different pricing options?
- Pre-divorce consultation: My hourly consultation services start at $275/hour with a 2-hour initial minimum. My billable hours could include (but are not limited to): phone calls, emails, time spent on analysis, and meetings.
- Post-divorce planning: I charge a flat fee for a Comprehensive Financial Plan, based on complexity and time commitment. Pricing starts at $1,500.
What are the next steps to move forward and work together?
- If you would like to explore these options and discuss your situation, I offer a 30 minute complimentary meeting by phone, in person or Zoom. If it makes sense to move forward we will complete an agreement, billing and document intake forms.
- If you decide to move forward with one of the above services, please give my assistant Rebecca a call to set up a time for a 10-minute phone call with me to review the scope of the engagement, the consultation or planning contract, billing, and how you will provide documentation.
- Please take note; if I am providing analysis with a deliverable, my analysis cannot begin until I have the necessary information from you. The following list is required but not all inclusive:
- Expenses/Budget Worksheet
- Assets and Liabilities Worksheet with statements
- Pay Stubs
- Tax Returns from the past 2 years
- Basic Client Information Sheet
